Custom vinly figures

“The classic medium for Designer Toys and Urban Vinyl.

Unlike standard injection molding, our Rotocasting (Sofubi) process creates hollow, lightweight figures with a unique tactile feel loved by collectors.

Perfect for simple, bold character designs (like KAWS or Mascot styles) and large-scale art toys (up to 60cm) without the heavy weight of solid resin.

We offer specialized Wax Mold and Copper Mold solutions for varying detail requirements.”

Why Choose Hanyang?

“Hanyang Toy understands that Vinyl (Sofubi) is more than just manufacturing; it’s a culture. Unlike precise injection molding, Rotocasting is an art form that relies on temperature and timing. Our veteran craftsmen specialize in pulling flawless hollow casts from copper molds, ensuring uniform wall thickness and no air bubbles. We are the preferred partner for designers looking to create that authentic ‘Urban Vinyl’ aesthetic.”

“Vinyl figures often feature bold, simple shapes that demand perfect surface finishing. We utilize Spray Masks (Copper Stencils) to achieve crisp color separations, a technique essential for the clean lines seen in designer toys. Additionally, our low-cost Copper Mold solutions allow independent artists to launch large-scale figures (30cm+) without the prohibitive tooling costs of steel molds.”

Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ)

What is the difference between Vinyl (Rotocasting) and PVC (Injection)?

Vinyl is rotocast, meaning the figure is hollow, lighter, and has a softer feel (ideal for simple shapes/art toys). Standard PVC is injection molded, which is solid/heavy and better for sharp, complex details (like anime hair).

We use Copper Molds (electroformed) for Vinyl, which are significantly cheaper and faster to make than the Steel Molds required for injection PVC. This is great for startups.

Yes, but articulation is usually simple (e.g., rotation at the neck, arms, and waist). For complex joints, we recommend ABS/PVC injection.
